Legion Legend

“COMMANDER’S NOTES”

It has been my honor to have been Commander of the Lee Legion for the past two years. I cannot thank all of you enough for the overwhelming help and support you have given  me over the last two years. It really means a great deal to me.

As a Post, we should be very proud of our many accomplishments over  the past two years; Terry Turners benefit is a shining example of what this Post can do when we work together for a common cause; seeing our great color Guard in action all over the State; and the  many improvements we have made to our Post, to name a  few. But, I believe our biggest accomplishment has been our collective goal to once again return Lee Legion to what it should be—A Veterans Organization! I would like to thank Bill Denchy, Walt Constantini, and Dave Novotny for their help and insight.  I want to thank Bernie Myers and Ray Grogg for the outstanding job they do on the grounds and facilities, and Chef  Kenny, you are the best. Nick Sestito, I think  you and your officers have done an outstanding  job with the SAL, and to my fellow officers and E-Board members, I couldn’t have done this without your support. Thanks! I can’t forget to thank Betty and her lovely bartenders—that includes you Marv!  You all do an outstanding job!

I am truly fortunate to have been Commander of Lee Legion and had the opportunity to be associated with so may outstanding people. Remember, this is Lee Legion and this is Your Post.

                                                   Have a Wonderful Spring!

Dan Grogg

Commander, Lee Legion
